The last few weeks have been some of the strangest I’ve had in awhile. People seem to be really understanding of our predicament or completely disgusted by it. Nothing like a little grey area involved.
A lot of them just don’t seem to understand it. It’s like they think we just sit around all day wringing our hands and wondering what’s going to happen next? Either that or they just don’t seem to have as firm a grasp on reality as one would expect.
Our recent financial woes have certainly got us out of the house a lot more. I think that’s probably a good thing. I tend to be heads down at my computer or drawing table otherwise. I’m finding that I miss a lot of the world being so insulated.
I’m hoping that things will turn our way again soon but I’m realizing that a lot of people are in the same boat lately. The economy being what is and all despite cheery economics news that seems to be popping up all the time.
I think people want the world and the country the way it used to be? I know I do.
...and this time she's animated. Man, I'd love to work on this show.
Mary and I went to the beach today. While it was overcast and socked in, the waves were awesome (if I ever get my camera fixed I'll put up my video of us repairing our longboard). Having been through a butt load of anti-depressants in my time I'd have to say that surfing is the best anti-depressant I've tried. Nothing relieves stress like that.
It's very Zen. It really makes you focus on the moment. Or be in the moment? Okay, I don't know Zen...
Yeah, the problems are still here -but I'm not nearly as stressed out about them. Mary and I are both really close to being employed again and the management here at the apartment complex is being relatively understanding of our predicament. Don’t stop praying though!
So far my life has been one serious change after another. My goals lately are to finally put down some roots and “find my bliss” as it were.
More on this as it develops.
So my new hard drive up and died three weeks after it was installed. This time it took almost two weeks to get it back. Apparently there was some sort of breakdown between the Apple store and the warehouse.
Now I'm trying to put everything back together again. What a pain in the butt! On the upside the guys at the Apple store gave me a 60gig drive insted of a 40gig. Of course now I'm completely afraid to store anything on it anymore.
