Zen and the art of Surfing

Mary and I went to the beach today. While it was overcast and socked in, the waves were awesome (if I ever get my camera fixed I'll put up my video of us repairing our longboard). Having been through a butt load of anti-depressants in my time I'd have to say that surfing is the best anti-depressant I've tried. Nothing relieves stress like that.

It's very Zen. It really makes you focus on the moment. Or be in the moment? Okay, I don't know Zen...

Yeah, the problems are still here -but I'm not nearly as stressed out about them. Mary and I are both really close to being employed again and the management here at the apartment complex is being relatively understanding of our predicament. Don’t stop praying though!

So far my life has been one serious change after another. My goals lately are to finally put down some roots and “find my bliss” as it were.

More on this as it develops.
