Dopamine Receptors and Buffy

So I've cut way down on smoking and as a reward I've been given insomnia again. I've been assured that it's just that the extra dopamine receptors in my head are dying. Ahh...good times, good times. At any rate it woke my ass up last night at around 3:30 am. Luckily I live in the 21st century and there are cable channels aplenty. That-- and I received an early birthday present from my mom yesterday.

Eventually I start watching CNN because I'm still under the impression that the news media has some integrity left. But no. I'm wrong. Again. Figure it's around 5:30 here in the desert so it's what--? Three hours ahead in Atlanta. They are wide awake and I'm sluggishly trying to find the remote and thinking that I should shave today maybe. On CNN there are a couple of very self-satisfied reporters talking about the brand new SUV's Support Terrorism ads. These ads are not being aired in New York, L.A. or Detroit. (Far too precious I’m guessing).

I guess what bothered me most is that these “reporters” seemed to think that the ads were patently ridiculous. That as Americans we have some kind of God given right to drive SUV's and that drugs are the real problem.

I'm pretty sure that the rampant use of marijuana must have had something to do with 9/11. It couldn't have been that the rest of the world is pissed at off at US and we just don't know it because the smug dumb asses on CNN haven't told us that yet. I hope Amsterdam is prepared for the terrorist beating that is no doubt going to be thrown their way.

I think not smoking is making me cross.....
