Las Vegas Protest
We went to the anti-war demonstration on Saturday. The thing that became abundantly clear was that people that were in Las Vegas 'to party and get away from all that shit" (as one drunken frat boy slurred out as we passed) were not very happy about us being down on the Strip.
I think maybe that was the best reason to be there. I mean one would expect there to be a big turn out in San Francisco and Minneapolis but not so much in Las Vegas.
My favorite annoyed tourist was a British chap that said “That’s like protesting going to war with Hitler! Don’t you lot ever learn?” Now as far I as I know Suddam Hussein has yet to invade either Austria or Poland.
